Thank you for thinking of me, Dennice!  It's a complete honor!  So in accepting, I need to list 7 things about me, then pass it on to 7 others. 

I'm going to do it a little differently, so rather than 7 facts, I'll list 7 things I aspire to do/be on a daily basis.

Every day, I hope to...
1 - be loving
2 - make someone around me laugh
3 - live openly and honestly
4 - do something creative
5 - give myself a break (doesn't always happen)
6 - take a photo
7 - tweeze (so that my husband doesn't suddenly discover that he's married to a werewolf)

I'm brimming with gratitude...

I've been so swamped with trying to squeeze in time to work on my spring pieces that I haven't had much time to blog about all the nice things that have come my way in recent weeks. So please allow me to take this time now to thank everyone for making my days that much more special.

Just yesterday, I was awarded the "Kreativ Blogger Award" by Botanical Bird. (Be sure to check out her etsy shop for some beautiful jewelry!)

So here are just 7 (of many) things I love (in random order):

1 :: weekends with my husband and son, doing just about anything.. undivided time with them is so precious to me and always recharges me.

2 :: an amazing meal with great wine

3 :: exercising my right brain... so being creative in any way, whether sketching, painting, playing my piano, thinking about how to decorate a room, writing poetry or journaling, creating jewelry... and exploring photography (once I get a new camera!)

4 :: going to live concerts and music festivals (which is actually how I met my husband)

5 :: going to live stand-up comedy shows

6 :: traveling!.. and just exploring the world around me, locally and beyond.

7 :: rollercoasters.. the bigger and badder, the better!

It's funny, I don't really get featured in a lot of treasuries, but I've been so fortunate to be a part of a few the brilliant collections that get selected for the highly coveted (especially these days) FP. Just yesterday, I was surprised to be told I was on FP twice!

1 :: I was almost switched at birth when I was born in Vietnam. When the nurses took me away to give me my first bath, they brought back another baby to my mom. She immediately said.."no, that is NOT my baby!" (except it was in Vietnamese). So thanks to my super observant mother, I am where I am today.. otherwise, I might still be in Vietnam somewhere and etsy would have been a strange word I had never heard of. :)

2 :: I met my husband at the infamous Live 8 concert in the summer of 2005 (in Philadelphia) and we hit it off so well that we spent every single day for the next month together! It was the most amazing summer of my life.

3 :: For some reason, I love wearing business attire. Not full on suits or anything, but business casual.. like sleek slacks with a cute top and to-die-for shoes. and ever since I can remember in high school, I would wear slacks, button down blouses, and heels every chance I got (like to church on Sundays).

4 :: I think Arrested Development is seriously one of the best shows ever created.

5 :: I still love watching cartoons.

6 :: I absolutely love costume parties.. especially when it's not Halloween. It's so much fun coming up with costumes and putting them together. Maybe I'll dig up some pictures and post them sometime...
